Dad always loved Jeffrey's song "Bits & Pieces" and recorded it in his own
unique style and phrasing. "This is a very Jazz influenced album by one
of the best Crooners in Continental Europe".
Sarepta - Mind Wipe
Jeffrey ran into a few members of the Heavy
Metal Band Sarepta in 1992, and despite the different musical styles started
enjoying the collaboration. "So Close" is one of those songs and
quickly became the favorite cut off this album.
Jeffrey Backus & Gundust
- Bits & Pieces
In 1994 it became apparent that Jeffrey and his Band
"Gundust" needed to take the next step in Public Relations. Most of
the time it was impossible to take the whole band to the Radio Interviews, so
they decided to record these 4 songs. 2 songs were recorded in the studio, and
the other 2 are Live recordings. Produced, engineered by Manfred Schmid for
MSP Records, Munich, Germany.
The Congress - Good Old Friends
It
always seemed impossible to finish a whole album, but in 1994 it happened. Jeffrey's
"other" side shines on this funky/soul collaborations with his
friends Eric Thöner & Ralph Bojen.
The Blair "Which?" Project
In March 2000, completion of that semester at Blair School of Music,
Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN culminated in the
recording of the album "I Just Came To Dance" - "The Blair
Which? Project". The album was instigated by Jae Avery and recorded,
produced and arranged by Jeffrey Backus at "Bucket West Studios",
Nashville, TN. This project was a collaboration between Jeffrey Steele and The
Blair School of Music Song writing Class, in which the lyrics, melody and
chord structures were written for the chorus of the song "I Just Came To
Dance". The assignment was for the students to individually finish the
song and the album is a collection of songs originated from that assignment.
Jae
Avery - Back Home Again
In 1998 Jeffrey met Jae Avery in Nashville and a very fruitful
relationship was about to begin. Jeffrey co-produced this wonderful album of
all original songs.

La Juan - Lead With Your
Heart
In 1996 Jeffrey was approached by La Juan in Nashville. She
wanted him to sing backing vocals on her Debut CD.
